Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, is famous and rich — he won’t need a loan anytime soon. As proven by the video of Jerry Jones going wild on the internet, sometimes the price of fame is steep. The Jerry Jones video was shot with a cell phone and has juicy comments about Bill Parcells, Tony Romo, and Tim Tebow.
Jerry Jones Drunk caught by Cell phone sneak
The Jerry Jones video of him drunk was in an unknown bar, where Jones was drinking a couple of cocktails with some drinking buddies. An opportunistic patron used his cell phone to secretly shoot a clearly inebriated Jones as he answered questions about Tebow, Parcells and Romo. The video first showed up on Deadspin.com, which no doubt will collect a large pay day from all the attention.
Jerry Jones when he speaks his mind
In the video, Jerry Jones is heard calling Tony Romo a “miracle,” although a lot of Dallas Cowboy fans, whose memories include multiple Super Bowl winners Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach, might disagree. The picture quality within the video is poor. Jones is barely visible within the poor lighting and grainy picture quality. The video is still priceless.
Jerry Jones lets the whiskey do the talking
The Jerry Jones video of him drunk isn’t the first time the man from Arkansas has titillated Texans with alcohol fueled commentary. After his Cowboys won the 1993 Super Bowl, media reports appeared where Jones said “any one of 500 coaches could have won those Super Bowls” referring to the players Jones himself drafted and signed. While at a cocktail party, Jones told reporters that he wanted to replace the coach for the Cowboys, Jimmy Johnson, who was an old college buddy, with former University of Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer. The morning after that he said it “was the whiskey talking.”The morning after that happened, he said is “was the whiskey talking.”
While drunk, Jones disses Tebow and Parcells
In the drunk video of Jones, the Cowboys owner said that college phenom Tim Tebow would never get on the field if Dallas had drafted him. Off camera, somebody said that Jones could draft Tebow just to sell the jerseys if he owned the Jacksonville Jaguars. The conversation then gets really juicy. Jones then says “That’s why I brought it Parcells.” Bringing in Parcells was evidently the signal Cowboys supporters needed to help build Jones’ new stadium. His opinion stated of Parcels: “Bill’s not worth a bleep. I love him.”
Jerry Jones’ minions keeping mouths shut
The Dallas Morning News was told the club had no comment by the Cowboys director of public relations, Rich Dalrymple. The Dallas Morning News couldn’t reach Parcells for a comment, but he described his relationship with Jones as very friendly. Jones could very well get into trouble with the NFL for is drunken rambling. Owners and players in the league have a strict personal conduct policy to follow made by Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner. Jerry, get out your credit card.
With cash, Jerry Jones puts food in mouth
With his mouth, Jones has gotten himself into trouble with the league before. Jones was fined $ 25,000 for publicly criticizing referee Ed Hochuli after Hochuli made a controversial call in a game between the San Diego Chargers and also the Denver Broncos on Sept. 14, 2008. On his radio show, he said Hochuli was one of the most criticized officials in the NFL. In 2009, Jones ended up drawing a six figure fine for violating a gag order on labor issues.
